What is the James Bond Betting System in Roulette?

October 31, 2021

Most online casino players are familiar with the daring escapades of the world’s most famous British spy in one of the most successful action movie franchises of all time. Who, you ask? None other than Bond. James Bond.

These same 007 fans who have watched any or all of the 25 movies released over the past 60 years may not realize that there is a betting system in the game of roulette specifically named after the MI6 agent. Disappointingly, this system does not involve simply betting on double zero and seven.

The James Bond system is a flat stakes betting method where players wager the same amount every spin without increasing their bet per round. Here, Roulette bets are placed on certain values and sections which cover all numbers except those from 1-12.

In this system you’ll be betting multiples of 20 across three different areas of the table. For example, with £20 you’ll place a bet of £14 on an outside bet of 19-36, paying out at evens; you’ll bet £5 on the six-line bet of 13 through 18, paying out at 5/1; you’ll also place £1 on zero.

The idea is that the highest-stakes bet is more likely to come in, with the lowest bet being least likely but offering the highest payout when it does. Players should keep in mind that the rules of roulette do not change when using this system.

So, finally, the answer to the most anticipated question concerning this betting system: does it work? Well, all casino games carry a certain house edge, and this fact remains even when using the James Bond betting system.

However, this method does rely on a progression-based system which ensures that the player will always be spreading bets at a good pace across a variety of possible outcomes. It won’t enable you to overcome the house edge, but it might be a fun way to manage your bets and spend some time at the tables.
