The maximum bet for Roulette

The outside maximum bet displayed at each table shows the largest amount that can be placed on each (or all) outside bet positions. There is no cumulative maximum.

A table's inside maximum bet refers to the amount permitted to be placed on each individual number (or straight-up) bet.

All other types of inside bet (for example split, line, street, etc.) have their own maximum bet amount, relative to the table's straight-up maximum.

For example, if the table maximum is $10 for an inside bet and $100 for an outside bet, you could bet $10 for number 17,20 and 23 and split $20 for 17 and 20. On top of this, you can also make as many outside bets as you wish. For example $100 for red and $100 for even.
